For many women with breast asymmetry, the hardest part is not only the visible difference between breasts. It is the daily frustration of finding a bra that fits both sides, choosing clothes around discomfort, and feeling like standard lingerie was never made with your body in mind.
Sille’s experience is one many women with uneven breasts will recognize: one breast spilling over the cup, one cup sitting empty, avoiding tight clothes, and feeling self-conscious in moments when she wanted to feel comfortable.
I literally said “Wow!” out loud when I saw how symmetrical my breasts looked with the bra. I felt my posture straighten, and I felt confident enough to try on clothes that had been sitting in my wardrobe because they had not fit me well before.

Here's the story of a woman who has grown up with asymmetry - from the struggles of teenage years to finding her confidence and comfort thanks to a bra made with women like her in mind.
Living with breast asymmetry
Tell us a little more about your experience with breast asymmetry. When did you first notice it, and how has it affected you?
I probably first noticed it as a teenager, when my breasts grew to different sizes during puberty. I remember feeling insecure and uncomfortable. One breast also had stretch marks from growing quickly.
As an adult, my main concern has still been finding a bra that fits, which also affects how my clothes fit.
What difficulties have you experienced with traditional bras or other solutions?
With traditional bras, the main problem is that I cannot find one that fits both my underbust measurement and my larger breast. Even in regular lingerie stores, my size is not available, and my larger breast always spills over the edge of the cup. Because of that, I have avoided wearing tight clothes.
Have you spoken about it openly before? Did you feel you could discuss it with friends?
As I have gotten older, I have talked about it with friends and realized many of them actually have an asymmetry to some degree. It had never really come up before that they might have similar concerns, too.
“I had simply accepted that this was part of my everyday life.”

Before Symmetrista
Before finding Symmetrista, Sille did what many women with uneven breasts do: she tried to make standard bras work, even when they were never designed for her body.
What solutions did you use before discovering Symmetrista?
I tried many regular bras. I had found one style that kind of worked for me, and where it was not too noticeable that one cup was empty.
How did those solutions make you feel, both physically and emotionally?
Finding new bras was always a real headache, and most of the time I went home empty-handed. On top of that, all kinds of active movement felt very unpleasant, because my larger breast would spill out of the cup.
Have there been situations where your asymmetry especially affected your confidence?
In high school, we were doing something in the auditorium and I was lying on my stomach, writing something down. A male classmate loudly commented on the difference between my breasts. That was my first and especially memorable experience of it.
Another time, when I was working as a teacher and standing in front of the class, I realized that I had chosen a very bad bra for that outfit.
“I felt very uncomfortable and tried to position myself so it would not show. When I got home, I threw those bras away.”
Discovering Symmetrista
For many women, discovering that a bra for asymmetrical breasts exists can feel surprising, especially after years of thinking they simply had to make do with standard bras.
How did you hear about Symmetrista, and what made you try it?
I saw a Symmetrista ad on social media. My first thought was: how have I never heard of this before, and who came up with such a genius idea?
Did you have doubts at first? If yes, what convinced you?
At first, I wondered how they could possibly find a bra that would suit my breasts, because every woman’s breasts and measurements are different. What convinced me was seeing other women’s experience stories and how satisfied they were.
After wearing Symmetrista
Trying a bra designed specifically for asymmetry changed not only how Sille’s clothes fit, but also how easy getting dressed felt day to day.

What was your first impression when you tried on a Symmetrista bra?
I said “Wow!” out loud and couldn't believe that my breasts suddenly looked so similar. I felt my posture straighten, and I felt confident enough to try on clothes that had been sitting in my wardrobe because they had not fit me well before.
How does it feel compared to your previous bras?
The Symmetrista bra is very comfortable and fits beautifully. The material feels amazing against the body, and of course, there is the effect of my breasts looking symmetrical under clothes.
How has wearing Symmetrista affected your everyday life and confidence?
I spend less time choosing outfits and getting ready, because I know Symmetrista works with my wardrobe.
“Now I really do wear the clothes I used to avoid because I felt uncomfortable in them.”
Have you noticed a change in how you think or talk about your asymmetry?
I feel like after using Symmetrista, I do not really talk about my asymmetry anymore. Somehow, I do not feel it in the same way, and it has not come up with my friends. But when it does come up, I always talk about Symmetrista. Once, I even took off my top to show what the bra looked like.
What surprised you the most about the Symmetrista bra?
I was surprised by how comfortable it is, and that you really can measure yourself at home and order a bra that fits.
Sille’s story is a reminder that breast asymmetry is not something women should have to silently work around. Whether it affects your clothes, your confidence, or the way your bra feels throughout the day, you deserve support designed for your body.

FAQ
What is breast asymmetry?
Breast asymmetry means that one breast is a different size, shape, or position than the other. It is common, but most standard bras are still designed as if both breasts are the same size.
What kind of bra is best for uneven breasts?
For uneven breasts, the best bra is one designed specifically for breast asymmetry. Symmetrista bras include built-in balancing support, so you do not need removable pads, stuffing, or makeshift fixes.
Can breast asymmetry affect clothing choices?
Yes. Many women with asymmetrical breasts avoid tight tops, V-necks, dresses, or certain outfits because traditional bras do not create a comfortable or balanced fit under clothing.
How can I find my Symmetrista size?
You can use the Symmetrista size calculator to find your recommended bra size and asymmetry support level. If you are unsure, our founder Merlin is happy to help personally with fit-related questions.
Is Symmetrista suitable if one breast is bigger than the other?
Yes. Symmetrista is designed for women whose breasts are different sizes. The Signature Bra includes asymmetry support levels to help create a more balanced and comfortable fit.
